An important aspect of Merle Thordis\u2019 artistic practice is the connection between music and movement\u2014the expression, the sound, the body. In Merle\u2019s performances, voice, rhythm, and space merge into vivid images that engage with both the personal and the political.

Merle performs regularly both solo and in groups, develops their own concepts, and composes pieces in which they engages with social and political themes.\n In doing so, they create works that transcend the boundaries between music, dance, and visual art \u2013 performances, installations, and video projects that pose questions, open up spaces, and make emotion tangible.'
Their projects led to collaborations with the REH Halle Berlin, the 48-Stunden Neuk\u00f6lln festival, and an artist residency in Sweden (RUD AIR). Their current work is titled \u201cWounds\u201d\u2014a project set to be released soon that once again explores the profound connection between sound, movement, and vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
