Expression through movement is an integral part of Merle's language.
Merle works in the field of dance, choreography, and performance.

At the age of four, Merle began preparatory training in classical ballet. Since then, they have been inseparably connected to dance. Through regular further training, participation in classes and workshops both in Germany and abroad, and across various styles, they continue to develop their own dance language and work as a freelance artist in numerous artistic projects.

Merle’s love for collaborative artistic projects and group work is also reflected in their work both in Germany and abroad, where they have worked with people—adults and children—in a wide variety of roles.

When they began teaching at the age of 15, they quickly realized that this not only brings Merle great joy, but also the people with whom they share their passion.

La Lune – Le Soleil

An audiovisual experience by Merle Thordis and Tim Pohr.

This performance is an exploration of the world through sensual perception; the world which surrounds and touches us; the world with which we make contact; the world to which we relate; the world from which we distance ourselves, the world in which we try to orient ourselves.

Intimacy, inner reflection, honesty, longing, vulnerability, courage and will.
